From 2006, the first painting I did on our first oil-painting course.
Our assignment for this one was to use a piece of art (drawing, painting, photo etc.) that we somehow felt connected to or moved by as an source of inspiration and paint something based on the piece we've chosen. I used this [link] photo of a boy (or a man) about to go through a suspension. What I love most about this picture is his expression. He seems so calm even with all the hooks in his flesh.
The painting came out quite nice, but what bothers me now is the head. IT'S WAY TOO BIG! But I'll do something about that.

awesome, I like the head, it works, it makes him a unique character as opposed to just a regular figure.
